Abstract

486,984. Oiling dough pieces. NEWBOULD, J., and PICKLES, J. D. Feb. 26, 1937, No. 5755. [Class 28 (i)] Apparatus for oiling dough pieces comprises a flexible sheet 7, e.g. of felt, which is supplied with oil from a tank 10 and drip nozzles 9, and wipes over the dough pieces 6 as they are traversed beneath the sheet by a conveyer 4 which receives the pieces from a moulding- machine delivery conveyer 2 and passes them to a conveyer 3 leading to the tin filling position. The pieces are confined on the conveyer 6 by side guides 5. The sheet 7 is suspended from a vertically adjustable bracket 8, and the tank 10 is supplied with oil by a pump 12 from an oil reservoir 13, the overflow pipe 14 of the tank leading back to the reservoir 13. The drip tray 15 drains into the reservoir through a filter 16.
