Abstract

485,828. Horseshoes. MUCKLICH, M. Oct. 1, 1937, No. 26574. [Class 67] A calk of T-section is secured in a cruciform slot in the shoe by a force fit, a portion 8 being pressed from the calk to co-operate with the front branch of the slot. The calk has its stem tapered to wedge into the slot and instead of the construction shown in Fig. 1, may be bent into doubled form as in Fig. 3, the ends being pulled outwards at 11 and a non-skid rubber strip 12 being inserted. To remove the calk a tool may be inserted in the front branch 7 of the slot to force the portion 8 out of the stem and allow the latter to contract to permit withdrawal.
