Abstract
483,510. Control of motors. ANDREWS, L. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30483. [Class 38 (iii)] [Also in Groups I and XXVIII] Travelling to predetermined limits.-An electric motor 49, which drives cam shafts in apparatus for controlling the intermittent discharge of solid matter from a settling-tank, is itself controlled by means of switches 52, 53. The switch 52 is closed temporarily at intervals by a clock movement, thus starting the motor, which is arranged to drive the shaft of a cam 5. The cam 51 causes a lever 54 to close the switch 53 and keep it closed, to maintain the motor in operation, until the cam has completed a revolution.
