482,542. Door fastenings. MAIGRET, A. L. E. Feb. 10, 1937, Nos. 3995 and 3996. Convention dates, Feb. 10, 1936 and Dec. 21, 1936. [Class 44] . [Also in Group X] The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a door 4 having locking-bolts 27 which carry racks 33 meshing with pinions 32, the arrangement being such that the bolts are moved simultaneously. The bolts are actuated by a motor 41 which is geared to a rack 36 slidably mounted on a spindle 35 carried by the door hinges 28. A boss 36<1> on the rack engages with a further rack 34 on the spindle, and the rack 34 is geared by a pinion 30 with a rack 31 which meshes with three of the pinions 32. The motor may be dispensed with and the mechanism may then be driven by hand. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
