Abstract

480,382. Covers for motor and other cycles &c. BLANK, L., and BLANK, M., (trading as BLANKS). Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30468. [Class 136 (i)] A cover for motor and other cycles, motor - cycle combinations, tandems, and like vehicles comprises a roof portion and a lateral member in part or wholly connected thereto of integral therewith, the roof portions having in plan substantially the shape of a coffin with the head end portion rounded off. In the form shown, the cover, which is preferably made of waterproof fabric, comprises a coffin-shaped roof portion 1 sewn &c. around its edges to a lateral member comprising side portions 13, a rounded front portion 12 to fit over the front wheel, and a rectangular rear portion 10, pleats 11 being formed where required to adapt the lateral member to the contour of the cycle. The front part of the roof portion 1 is inclined downwardly, to bear tangentially against the front wheel, the rear part having a downward inclination towards. the back. The lower edges of the side. portions 13 may be fastened together by tapes 14, wires, bars, &c. The rear portion 10 and. the .front portion 12 may be formed of separate pieces, or the rear portion may be integral with the roof 1 ; or the cover may be otherwise made up. Alternatively, the cover may be made of wood, metal, &c.
