[Class 3 (ii)] [Also in Group XI] A signalling device for use with an electric torch comprises a dished or cup-like cap 1 with an appropriate signal formed as a part transparency, or slots or apertures 6 therein, and shaped and adapted at its perimeter to be pushed over the lens end of a hand torch, and retained on the torch. In the example, the cap 1 is made of moulded vulcanized rubber, of part spherical configuration, with an inturned bead or roll 2 to engage the end of the torch. The apertures 6 are formed similarly to a stencil to display the words " Service please " to draw the attention of an attendant in a theatre &c., when the torch is illuminated. The signal cap may be made of sheet-metal or moulded plastic material, with a rolled or beaded edge formed with slits to render it resilient. Alternatively, the cap may be substantially cylindrical and formed with means to retain an annular rubber ring which grips upon the end of the torch.
