[Class 125 (i)] Relates to non-refillable bottle structures of the kind having, in the neck of the bottle 10, a ribbed valve casing 15 formed with a flat valve seat 31 separated from the walls of the casing by a gutter 37, a buoyant disc valve 19 with a superposed conical weight 20 and a guide and guard member 21 co-operating with said seat, and consists in detail improvements designed to defeat attempts to refill the bottle by evacuating it and holding it, at a small angle below the horizontal, with its neck below the level of liquid 40, Fig. 3. The valve casing is provided with a short downward extension 30 concentric with the seat 31, and the face of the weight 20 which engages the valve disc 19 is formed with a dishing or concavity 20<1> and a narrow flat edge 20<11>. The interior of the guide member 21 is formed with ribs 21<1> and a projection 32. Preferred dimensions, spacings, &c. of the components of the valve arrangement are specified. They are such that the weight adheres to the valve disc and draws it from its seat during normal pouring. If an attempt is made to refill the bottle, Fig. 3, the valve, at its lower edge, will float away from the weight and engage the seat 31. As the liquid level rises in the valve casing, liquid rises by capillary action as shown at 41, and finally the upper edge of the valve is drawn. away from the weight and against the seat.
