478,751. Closure caps for bottles. WEBSTER, R. W. Sept. 14, 1936, No. 24993. [Class 125 (iii)] Closure caps for bottles &c. with packing discs have the edges of the discs separately waterproofed by impregnation with wax, varnish, rubber or rubber compounds. The faces of the discs may be coated with a non- waxy varnish, or alternatively they may be lined. The edges of the discs may be impregnated in a roll formation which is rotated in a bath or spray. Both sides of the discs may be provided with a protective coating, and they may be coated while in the caps. During the insertion of the discs into the caps, the caps may be heated.
