Abstract

419,684. Bottle caps. SKOV, H. A., 1A, Halls AllÚ, Frederiksberg, near Copenhagen. Sept. 30, 1933, No. 26979. [Class 125 (iii).] A bottle cap of the type provided with a tearing tab, comprises one or more metallic layers a adhesively united and one or more non-metallic layers b. The thicknesses of the layers are so adjusted that the metal layer or layers have the minimum thickness required to give the' whole closure the necessary stiffness to allow it to be shaped and applied without heating. In the case of aluminium the thickness stated to be suitable is between À02 and À06 mm. The thickness of the non-metallic layer is greater than that of the metallic layer. The inner layer may be of paper treated with paraffin, lac &c. to render it moisture proof. Specification 402,313 is referred to.
