Abstract

478,641. Image intensifiers. ZEITLINE, V., ZEITLINE, A., and KLIATCHKO, V. May 18, 1936, No. 14065. Convention date, May 18, 1935. [Class 39 (i)] Between the photo-electric and fluorescent screens are arranged one or more electrodes comprising fluorescent and photo-electric layers. As shown, electrodes comprising fluorescent layers F<1>, F<2>, F<3> and photo-electric layers P<2>, P<3>, P<4> are arranged between the photo-electric screen P<1> and the fluorescent layer A, the successive electron images being of greater intensities. The fluorescent and photo-electric surfaces of each electrode may be adjacent or coated one upon the other. Opaque pervious screens may be interposed between successive electrodes to prevent optical reaction. Electric or magnetic focusing fields, or both, may be employed. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 contains also the subject-matter of Specification 478,426. This subject - matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
