Abstract
477,102. Friction - grip fastenings. WATSON, W. V. Aug. 25, 1936, No. 23291. [Class 44] [Also in Group XIV] Towel &c. holders of the type in which the towel is gripped by a bell H free to travel along con: verging surfaces in a holder B and displaced upwardly by insertion of the towel through an opening C in the holder have one or both of the converging surfaces in the form of a spring D which will yield when the towel is pulled out. The spring D has a hole E for attachment by one of the screws which secure the holder to the wall &c. A pin G keeps the ball and spring in the holder preparatory to fixing; this pin is removed after the holder has been fixed to the wall &c. The holder may be made of synthetic resin. The guide member A may comprise a blade or wire spring.
