Abstract

474,319. Corsets. SUTTON, F. B. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30446. [Class 141] A corset, provided with busks 12 and releasable fastenings such as hooks and eyes, is also provided with a strap or straps 10 of inelastic material below the waistline at or about the level of the lower ends of the busks to relieve the hooks and eyes from strain and prevent the busks from bursting through the material. The straps are connected to the corset a little distance inwards from the edges and are provided with a releasable fastening device 9. The straps 10 may be placed either on the inside or the outside of the corset and are arranged to tension the corset about the hips. Whenmore than one pair of straps 10 are used, the top pair occupy the position shown in the drawing.
