Abstract

471,701. Sprinkling-stoppers. JACKSON, L. MELLERSH-. (Wilson Co., Inc., R. W.) Oct. 1, 1936, No. 26688. [Classes 18 and 125 (iii)] A sprinkling-stopper for a powder container comprises a perforated outer plate 1, a perforated neck member 6 and an intermediate sliding shutter member 3. The member 6 has a shallow groove extending transversely across the entire width thereof and which receives the plate and shutter members. Lips on the neck member are provided for securing the plate member in position. They are formed along the edges of the groove, together with opposing shoulders. The bottom of the groove may be raised to form a seat for the shutter. A gasket 5 may be located between the members 3 and 6. A finger piece 4 is provided for operating the shutter.
