[Class 104 (iii)] The carbon 2 of a bow collector is attached to its initial carrier 1 by a layer of solder 4 - between the carrier and the roughened, coppered surface 3 of the carbon. The carrier may be of tubular or T-section, and the carbon may consist of two rows of blocks 11, 12 united to metal carriers 13, 14 as above described, the carriers being flexibly connected by a wire &c. 17 passing through lugs 15, 16 on the carriers.
