469,393. Laminated springs. DOORNE, H. J. VAN. Jan. 20, 1936, No. 1767. Convention date, Jan. 21, 1935. [Class 108 (iii)] In a vehicle laminated spring which is substantially flat when not under load and is formed with rigid eyes 3 at the ends of one or more main leaves 1, 2, the distance between the axes 4 of the eyes remains practically constant under variable load, the eyes being located so far above or below the main leaf that the foreshortening of the spring due to the increasing curvature of the main leaf is practically compensated for by the inward rotation around the axis of each eye of the point d<1> where the main leaf changes into the eye.
