469,342. Reinforced paper. KLEIBAUMHUTER, H., and KLEIBAUMHUTER, P., (trading as BAUMHUTER, P., [Firm of]). March 26, 1936, No. 9084. [Class 96] Separate applications of fluid paper pulp are made to one or more thin layers of unspun, undivided hard fibres, e.g. sisal, hemp, manila, jute, oakum, &c. 55, to form reinforced paper for wrapping &c. Fluid pulp is applied, e.g. at 48, to a travelling screen 45, and also on to, or through a " cage-drum " 49, the composite web passing off the screen 45, at 60. The actual paper thickness may be less than that of the fibres which are, however, encased therein. Specification 446,049 is referred to.
