469,225. Security paper. GRIFFIN, E. G. (American Bank Note Co.) Nov. 27, 1936, No. 32510. Drawings to Specification. [Class 96] [Also in Group XV] Safety revenue, postage, &c. stamps consist of paper, one surface of which is coated with adhesive, the other having a finishing coating containing colouring matter and a design printed in an ink containing a water insoluble pigment, water soluble colouring matter, and a bodied plate oil vehicle whereby the stamp is protected from ordinary moisture, but upon soaking the water soluble matter is dispersed. The finishing coat may comprise soft glue, casein, starch or other sizing containing colouring matter, and the water soluble colouring matter in the ink may be an aniline dye.
