[Class 81 (ii)] A pad for protecting sensitive places, e.g. corns, blisters, &c., on the feet and other parts of the body comprises a body structure 10 perforated at 13 to form a recess for accommodating the sensitive place and having a skinadherent coating 14, and a perforated cover ply 11 of fabric adhesively united to the body structure 10 and overlying the shielding recess. The body structure 10 may be made of felt. The adherent layer 14 may be formed by coating the body structure 10, or may comprise a separate ply attached thereto. A ply 16 formed of one or more layers of gauze impregnated with an antiseptic such as trialkali (-sodium) borate may be disposed over the shielding recess. The ventilating perforations 15 in the cover ply may be circular or elongated. The pad may be of oval shape, or of rectangular shape with rounded corners.
