[Class 113 (ii)] In place of the usual square or sharply curved angle-pieces, transverse bulkheads 1 are connected to longitudinal bulkheads, decks or the outer skin by flanged bars having their outer portions joined by a gradually curved zone 15. In a modification the edge of the transverse bulkhead is similarly curved to form a junction piece.
