Abstract
467,313. Photographic diazotype layers. KALLE & CO. AKT.-GES. Oct. 12,1936, No. 27699. Convention date, Oct. 12, 1935. [Class 98 (ii)] In processes of preparing diazotype layers by applying the diazo compound with or without an azo coupling component to a base and rnbbing the base with a powder of a developing composition which may also contain an azo coupling component, the material is freed from dust by subjecting it to a flowing gas which does not injure the diazo material in a short time, e.g. air. The material may afterwards be calendered. In an example, paper is sensitized with the zinc chloride double salt of diazo-2<1>: 6<1>- dichlorbenzyl-4-amino-1-aniline and citric acid and rubbed with a powder of phloroglucine and calcium acetate. Dry air under pressure is then blown into it. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the use as a developer of feebly acid salts of weak acids fugitive in steam such as zinc acetate and zinc formate. In examples, (1) paper coated with a solution of diazo-1-amino-4-benzoylamino diethoxybenzene and citric acid is rubbed with a powder of phloroglucinol and zinc acetate or zinc formate ; (2) paper sensitized with the zinc chloride double salt of diazo-21: 6<1>-dichlorbenzyl-4- amino-1-aniline and citric acid is rubbed with a powder of phloroglucine and lead acetate. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
