466,103. Ramps. HOENIG, E. Oct. 21, 1935, No. 29036. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (iv)] A ramp for connecting floors, platforms or decks at different levels in buildings or ships is provided along the whole or major part of its length with laterally sloping parts so that it is accessible by vehicles not only at the ends but also at the sides. In the construction shown the ramp connects two floors 1, 2, separated by walls 6. The parts of the ramp which are at the same level are connected by contour lines ; thus, the ramp is accessible from any direction. The walls 6 may extend upwardly above the upper portions 4<1> of the ramp to provide safety walls 7. A number of decks or floors can be connected by a single ramp if the gradient of the ramp can be made sufficiently small and yet intersect all floors and decks. In a modification the ramp is accessible from one side only and/or over the major part only of its length. Specifications 464,640, [Group XXXIII], and 466,102 are referred to.
