[Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] Power &c. output.-A radio or like transmitter arrangement of the kind comprising at least two parallel-connected transmitter stages is provided with electro-mechanical relay or like means responsive differentially to the loads on the parallel-connected stages and adapted upon response to adjust the loads automatically to equality. In the example shown in Fig. 3, differences in voltage across the resistances R1, R2 in the anode leads to transmitters T1, T2 actuate the double-acting relay D which starts the reversible series motor C. Relays Fl, F2 have contacts which prevent simultaneous actuation in both directions. Coil H removes a brake before making the main contacts HC and two single relays may replace the relay D. The motor C, Fig. 2, rotates the internally toothed drum G through a worm LW, thus producing, through gears Z1, Z2, a difference in rotation of the shafts W1, W2 which control the aerial coupling to the two stages, thereby equalizing the load on these stages. Equalizing gearing A and a clutch CL are provided. With more than two stages equalizing arrangements may be provided between each pair of stages ; alternatively, each stage may be connected through an equalizing arrangement to a master stage which is uncontrolled.
