Abstract

463,965. Insulators. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and ADAMS, W. S. Oct. 8, 1935, No. 27783. [Class 36] An insulator 3 having a conical portion 2 is secured to a support 6 by soft metal packing 4 which is compressed between a thin metal ring 1 and the conical portion 2 by clamping members 7 bearing on the upper faces of the ring and packing and which are drawn towards, and secured to, the support 6 by bolts 5. The ring 1 may be located internally or externally of the bolts 5. A fitting may be secured to the insulator in a similar manner.
