Abstract
463,069. Boxing gloves. DONMALL, C. F. Sept. 21, 1935, No. 26228. [Class 132 (i)] A boxing glove is provided with a protective sheath to cover the lacing. For example, a leather tab a is secured adjacent the palm b to cover the inner end of the lacing c, and at its other end is secured to an elastic band d surrounding the wrist portion of the glove and connected thereto at one or more places e, Fig. 2. The tab a and band d are rolled back as shown in Fig. 1 to permit lacing, after which they are unrolled to overlie the lacing and the usual knotted fastening c<1>. Alternatively, a leather tab may also be provided at the back of the glove and interconnected with the front tab to form the band d. The sheath may be made partly or wholly of leather, canvas, rubber, rubberized fabric, &c.
