462,392. Softening water. COPLAND, J. B., and AQUAMELLIS ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. Sept. 9, 1935, No. 25039. [Class 46] [Also in Group XXV] A water-softener which can be suspended from a tap comprises a cylinder 10 having a recessed upper cover 16 with a gauze strainer 18 at the centre. The zeolite is supported on a gauze strainer 13 and the bottom closed by a dished cover 11 with a central aperture 12. The softener may be suspended from the tap by a loop 20 of wire chain or cord attached to hooks or eyes 19. The loop is passed over the hooked end 25 of a clip 24, the arms 22 of which embrace the tap. Specification 373,734 is referred to.
