Abstract

462,197. Bee - keepers' appliances. EWERS, R. M. Nov. 29, 1935, No. 33125. [Class 5(ii)] A device for feeding bees with syrup comprises a box a having a vertical passage c which extends from an aperture in the base b and permits of access by the bees to syrup on a float f. Syrup is admitted through a hole e in a funnel d. The device is covered by a slidable frame h having one or more glass panels i, the part j separating the panels, or a part carried by a glass panel, being adapted to cover the aperture c to control the number of bees entering the chamber. The chamber may be covered internally and externally with tubular perforated parts c<1>. Projections k prevent the float f from contacting with the base b.
