[Class 140] [Also in Group XIII] A wall, partition, or the like for improving the acoustic properties of buildings comprises as a constructional element a membrane of linen, paper, wallboard, or the like, coated on one or both sides with rubber latex, with or without powdered aluminium or other metal. The rubber latex used may contain 10-25 per cent of dry rubber and may be stabilized as described in Specification 461,679, [Group V]. Alternatively, metal may be applied in a quick-drying solvent lacquer.
