460,437. Drying leather. ARGABRITE, G. M. June 21, 1935, No. 17872. Convention date, Dec. 8, 1934. [Class 76] [Also in Groups XIII and XXXVI] Leather is dried by adhering it to and drying it upon the surface of an aluminium sheet which has been anodyzed and then immersed in boiling water. The aluminium is anodyzed by treatment in 25 per cent sulphuric acid with a current density of 12 amperes per square foot for twenty minutes and is then immersed in boiling water for thirty minutes. Wet leather is attached with a minimum of adhesive to sheets 10 supported on conveyer devices 16, 17 and moved so as to hang over orifices 18 through which drying air is blown.
