Abstract

460,101. Corsets. ABBATT, D. Oct. 16, 1935, No. 28544. [Class 141] Corsets consist of inextensible back and side panels a and b respectively, and a front panel e, one edge of which is attached to the otherwise free edge f of one side panel as far down as the line g at which the trunk bends, beyond which it extends freely. The other edge of the panel is detachably secured to the opposite side panel for a like distance, below which the adjacent edges of the two side panels are connected by a band or bands m made wholly or partially of elastic webbing permanently attached at one edge and detachably secured to the other edge, or detachably secured to both edges independently of the free portion of the centre panel. Stocking suspenders l are attached to the free portion of the centre panels. When the band or bands m are detachable at both ends, a sufficient number of fastening devices p is provided on the side panels to allow of the position of the band being varied.
