[Class 29] [See also Groups XXVIII and XXXV] Compression machines.- A compressor 15 and its electric motor 16 are enclosed in a casing 10 ; lubricani is drawn from a store 6( by a rotary pump 62 and delivered to the bearings through the axial passage 76 of the shaft 32 ; part of the used lubricant is delivered by a nozzle 103 to the inner surface of the casing and so cooled, while part flows over and cools the compressor and motor In operation gaseous refri gerant enters an intake muffler 122 and passes. to the valve box from which it passes after compression to an exhaust muffler 127, a resilient helical conduit 128 and a condenser 129 mounted on the annulus of heat-conducting fins on the casing, where it is liquefied. Thence it flows through a controlling float valve 131 to an evaporator 133 in the cooling compartment and back to the compressor casing through a conduit 1351 delivering above the body of oil.
