Abstract

459,245. Lifting-dogs. FROST, D. J., Muskoka, Dales Road, Ipswich. Sept. 18, 1935, No. 25900. [Class 78 (iv)] A lifting-dog for raising a row of bricks with one hand comprises two members 8, 8<a>, connected telescopically and fixed in adjusted position by bolts and wing nuts 13, and a third handle member 7 pivoted to the member 8 at 10. The member 8<a> carries a downwardlyextending outwardly-tapering fixed jaw 9, while the member 7 carries a similarly shaped movable jaw 6. On lifting the appliance by holding the handle 7, the movable jaw is rotated to grip and hold the bricks. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 5178/06, [Class 78].
