[Classes 19 and 61 (i)] A coupling member for attaching a brush stock to the liquid supply of a mechanical painting, coating, or cleansing device comprises a metal member 1, Fig. 2, threaded internally at 3 to engage the supply, and tapered to fit a thimble 4, Fig. 1, in the stock frictionally tight so as to take up wear and to fit a number of brushes. The thimble 4 is expanded at places into the stock to prevent rotation &c. Specifications 376,747 and 409.089 are referred to.
