Abstract
457,441. Steam traps. SARCO CO., Inc., and WELLS, H. J. C., 183, Madison Avenue, New York, U.S.A. June 10, 1936, No. 16209. Addition to 445,238. [Class 64 (ii)] In the steam trap described in the parent Specifica tion, the top of the body 1 is closed by a cap 6 threadec into the body, and an intermediate threaded member 5 carries a plate 8 which closes the upper end of the bellows. The metal bellows 7 is corrugated helically and threaded and soldered into the plate 8, and a tubular shield 9 is threaded on to the plate 8. Volatile liquid is introduced into the bellows by removing the screw 8b. The lower end of the bellows is similarly closed by a plate 10 carrying a ring 11a which loosely supports a valve member 12. The two end caps carry concentric tubes 13, 13a which abut to prevent contraction of the bellows beyond a predetermined limit.
