Abstract

Aryl phosphates, e.g. tri-phenyl, tri-cresyl or tri-naphthyl phosphates, are used as plasticizers for 2-chlorobutadiene-1.3 polymers. They may either be milled into, or added to a dispersion, solution or cement of the polymer, e.g. for making printers' blankets. Natural rubber, accelerators, fillers, softeners, antioxidants, &c. may be incorporated, and the composition is vulcanized by heating with or without addition of sulphur.
