[Class 73] [See also Group VI] A strip or cord, coloured or printed with an identifying mark, is inserted into sausages during the filling, so that it is visible through the casing. The strip serves as a reinforcement which prevents breakages of the casings during smoking, and the casing may be ripped open thereby, when the sausage is to be eaten. The cord may be of edible material such as that used for making spaghetti.
