[Class 53] A separator consists of glass silk a having its edges contained in a frame b of rubber or other acid resisting material which may be made by applying the material in fluid or plastic form to the edges of the glass silk layer. In a modification, the edges of the glass silk are mounted in a frame which is made as a separate unit. The frame may be perforated or made of porous material. Specification 347,012 is referred to.
