453,885. Coil-winding machines. ADAMS, J. W., 25, Candover Close, Harmondsworth, Middlesex. March 21, 1935. No. 8897. [Class 120 (ii)] A stand for the supply reels of a coil-winding machine for electrical apparatus, in which one or a number of windings are made on a former or sleeve, comprises a plate 2 carried on fixed pillars 1 and carrying a turntable 5, at the corners of which are mounted pillars 6, 7, 8, 9 supporting the supply reels 10 and at opposite sides of which are mounted frames 11, 13, 11<1>, 131 adapted to receive the formers. The stand is arranged adjacent to the winding-machine so that while a former is being wound with wire from one, several, or all of the reels on the pillars 6, 7, facing the machine, the wires from the pillars 8, 9 at the rear of the machine may be connected to a former carried in the frames 11<1>, 13<1>. When winding is completed the wound former is removed from the winding-machine to the frames 11, 13, and the platform is rotated to bring the prepared former to the winding-position and to permit removal of the wound former and preparation of another.
