Abstract

453,573. Pneumatic tyres. FITZGERALD, A. G., 174, Temple Street, West Newton, Massachusetts, U.S.A. May 25, 1936, No. 14734. [Class 144 (ii)] An air-tube is moulded with the tread portion 12 of greater width than the corresponding portion of the cover 13 so as to be transversely compressed when inflated, the shoulders 16 being formed of greater thickness than the tread and side-walls, as by bead-portions 17. As shown, the tread portion 12 is formed flattened and of greater thickness than the sidewalls ; and the inner periphery 11 is formed of greater diameter than the rim-seating. U.S.A. Specifications 1,737,368 and 1,969,400 are referred to.
