Abstract

Glue is dried by forming drops of glue liquor and coating each drop with granulated dry glue, to facilitate drying by capillary action, and then drying the coated drops in any desired way. The glue liquor in the form of pearls or rods may be dropped on to a moving bed of granular glue, and the coated drops then separated from the mass of granular glue by screening, and dried. The granular glue used is coarser than that which would pass a 30-mesh screen.
