451,741. Saddles. WAGNER, K., (trading as KAUEMANN & CO. HANDEL MIT AUTOMOBILBESTANDTEILEN), 17, Zollamtsstrasse, Vienna. Nov. 2, 1935, No. 30287. Convention date, Dec. 5, 1934. [Class 136 (iii)] In a saddle for motorcycles &c. of the type in which elastic material, such as sponge rubber, rests upon a base-plate without being connected thereto, the base-plate 1 (saddle shown inverted) is provided with one or more openings 6, through which local parts of the elastic material when subjected to shocks can be displaced, the openings also permitting ventilation of the elastic material. The openings 6 may be covered by wire netting 7, which may be resilient. A single large opening may be provided. The base-plate 1 is fitted with bolts 5 for the attachment of saddle springs, &c.
