D. ; 9, Bedford Road, Summit, New Jersey, both in U.S.A.) July 27, 1935, No. 21380. Convention date, Dec. 1, 1934. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iii)] A switchboard with a plurality of operator's positions for a teletypewriter exchange comprises a vertical jack field, a projecting key shelf and a vertical portion below the key shelf which is set back further than the jack field in order that teletypewriter machines may be inserted thereunder to an extent permitting the operators to sit close to the jack field, the second vertical portion being provided with a plurality of spaced jacks for plugs attached to the teletypewriters. The key shelf has a sloping top, the plugs on which are placed in a single row for reducing its depth.
