Abstract

An agent for combatting insect pests comprises ethylene dibromide and physiologically active halogenated (especially chlorinated) hydrocarbons, e.g. dichlorethylene, trichlorethylene, ethylenedichloride and methylene chloride. Carbon tetrachloride may be added to reduce inflammability and also a respiratory irritant such as chlorinated formic acid methyl ester.
