Abstract

The water permeable layer of a stripping photographic film comprises a cellulose aliphatic acid ester having a low acyl content. Cellulose acetate with an acetyl value of 33--36 per cent is most practical. Cellulose acetate propionate hydrolyzed to a content of 26 per cent acetyl and 4--5 per cent propionyl may also be used.
