Abstract

446,165. Stereoscopic kinematography. GUIBIANSKY, J., 29, Granville Road, Stroud Green, London. June 4, 1935, No. 16369 /34. [Class 97 (i)] Stereoscopic images in series on a single film are obtained by a camera which comprises mirrors 19, 20 arranged one above the other in the direction in. which the film 14 moves through the gate, and one or more shutters 18 for exposing the right and left pictures consecutively at each stop in the intermittent movement of the film. The shutter may consist of a disc which is pivoted at its centre, provided with arc-shaped apertures at different distances from the centre, and may be rotated by a pulley and cord or by a gear wheel. Objectives 11, 12 are also arranged, in a similar manner, one above the other, and are spaced apart laterally a distance which may be that between the eyes. The images are projected through upper and lower portions of the gate separated by a partition. In another form, the film is arranged between the objectives in such manner that the consecutive images are reflected on to opposite sides of the film. Both sides of the film may be coated with light-sensitive emulsion. One of the objectives is provided with a device for image inversion.
