Abstract

445,064. Spectacle cases. BRUTON, V. P. W., 3, Bunhill Row, Finsbury, London. April 3, 1935, No. 10351. [Class 97 (i)] A spectacle case is made of leather, &c. in two pieces joined together, or one piece folded, to form a pocket for the glasses, a flap forming part of one of the pieces, or of the single piece, being adapted to be folded over and fastened down to close the pocket. As shown, a single piece of leather is folded over to form a front a and back b which are secured together by rivets, &c. d adjacent the fold, the backb being so shaped as to include a flap c which can be folded over the front a and secured by a press-stud &c. e, e<1>. The lenses of a pair of spectacles are slipped between the parts a, b, leaving the folded down temple pieces outside the part a, and the flap is folded over and fastened. The part a is formed with recesses f, or with slots, to accommodate the hinges of the spectacles.
