[Class 6 (ii)] The bottom of an ash scoop or shovel for use with a grooved hearth is provided with one or more U-shaped longitudinal grooves or depressions F and flat parts L corresponding, respectively, with the grooves of the hearth and the ridges between them. There may, or may not, be flat parts L between the outside grooves F and the sides of the scoop. The mouths of the grooves F may extend beyond the mouth of the body part of the scoop.
