Abstract

441,241. Loom temples. BROOKSBANK, W., Laurel Bank, and SMITH, R., Trevone, both in Embsay, Skipton, Yorkshire. March 2, 1935, No. 6586. [Class 142 (ii)] Temple rollers are covered with discs 6 of leather, wood, &c. compressed together and held by end pieces 7. In some cases, the material is wound helically on the roller. In a modification, the end of the roller nearer the selvage is provided with pins embedded in a sleeve. The surface of the discs or wound strip is buffed or provided with grooves to enable it to grip the fabric. According to the Provisional Specification, rubber may be used for the covering material.
