Abstract

A ferrule for a tube-plate joint consists of an alloy of copper 98,5 per cent, nickel 0,8 per cent, silicon 0,5 per cent, and iron 0,2 per cent. The alloy is quenched in water or air from 850-900 DEG C. and then stored at 400-500 DEG C.
