Abstract

A cocoa beverage suitable for sale in bottles is made by mixing cocoa powder of super-fineness into a thin paste with milk, boiling the paste, preferably for one minute, and adding milk to the paste. Sugar may be added to the paste. The paste is continuously stirred while boiling. The milk may be added while the paste is still hot. The bottled product only requires heating for consumption.
