439,358. Casting concrete sewer traps. TAYLOR, L. A., 59, Silverdale Gardens, Hayes, Middlesex. June 5, 1934, No. 16653. [Class 20 (ii)] In situ concrete sewer-inspection traps are formed with the use of flexible core-pieces to mould the connecting conduits leading from the wall sewer pipes to the main sewer. The main sewer g is broken inside the trap e and is constituted therein by a conduit f into which channels lead in the direction of flow from the wall terminals of the branch sewers. These channels are moulded in situ by the use of opentopped flexible formers of rubber or compressed wax-paper a, maintained in open position by integral or removable struts c, and stiffened by peripheral ridges d. These formers are positioned between the wall terminals and the main sewer, and concrete k, Fig. 8, is placed around and beneath them, after which the formers are collapsed and removed. The formers may be symmetrically bent to form right and left-hand channels as desired.
